I am in love with lavender. It not only looks beautiful and smells amazing, it’s also very versatile. Lavender keeps flies and mosquitos away, you can dry it and hang it in your home, lavender oil is used to make fragrant soaps and bath oils, it’s used for aroma therapy because of its calming and soothing nature, and you can even cook with it! I use it in savory and in sweet creations, as well as for decorations.

Lavender-infused butter is perfect for lobster and lavender infused syrup is perfect for Lavender mimosas— a  few drops of lavender syrup in your lemonade and you will be in Heaven!

Lavender is so versatile and beautiful, why not use it more often in cooking and baking?

Lavender Syrup Recipe:
To make the syrup, bring 2 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of lavender flowers to boil. Add 1 cup of sugar and mix well until dissolved, reduce heat and simmer for 10 more minutes.
Set aside, let cool and strain into a bottle.

You can use this for refreshing beverage, both alcoholic or virgin. Adding it to certain alcoholic beverages will elevate their flavor profiles and layers.
